Essential Functions
- May help with homework, tutoring, test preparation and supervision during snack and recreation.
- May lead sessions or assist the session leader with small groups of students
- Follows professional practices consistent with school and system policies under the supervision of the Site Coordinator.
- Works with Site Coordinator and the after school team to provide a quality after school experience through academic and personal enrichment activities.
- May assist with family events.
- Some positions may require the preparation of lesson plans and maintaining logs of activities and partnerships.
Area of Experience Needed:
Tutor, Certified and Non-Certified Teacher, Math, ELA, STEM, Sports/Coaching, Visual Arts, Family Involvement and Resources, and Family and Consumer Sciences.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age. Experience working with school-age students preferred. Must possess effective communication skills.
Physical Requirements
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following require the following physical demands: significant lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Job may require exposure to outside weather conditions.
Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 50% walking, and 45% standing.
Education/Training
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Must be in good academic standing if still attending school, and/or possess job related experience. Some positions may require a degree or certification.
