Overall Purpose
Provides Hospital Homebound (HHB) educational and instructional services for students being served in the HHB program.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates HHB services for HHB students by communicating with classroom teachers regarding curriculum and testing needs.
- Communicates with the HHB parent/guardian to set up instructional sessions with HHB student.
- Provides direct instruction to HHB students in the manner determined by the HHB Education Service Plan/Individual Education Plan (IEP), including in-person, virtual, or other approved formats.
- Participates in the Education Service Plan meetings as available.
Requirements
Valid Georgia professional certification in the assigned teaching field. Must have personal transportation.
Physical Requirements
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as needed to move objects. Generally, the job requires 60% sitting, 20% walking, and 20% standing.
Education/Training
Maintains all licenses and certifications.
