Overall Purpose 

The job of School Psychologist is done for the purpose of measuring and interpreting the intellectual, adaptive, academic, social, and emotional development of children; interpreting results of psychological assessments; interpreting and applying state and federal codes; and developing strategies and interventions to address the needs of students.

 

 Essential Functions

Requirements

Master’s degree or higher with Georgia certification in school psychology.

 

Physical Requirements

Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity.

Generally the job requires 20% sitting, 40% walking, and 40% standing.

 

Education/Training

Master’s degree or higher with Georgia certification in school psychology.
